Responsibilities, include: Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance of the cemetery grounds and monuments, including mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, and fertilizing Burials: Supervising the opening and closing of burial sites, restoring dirt and sod, and placing headstone foundations Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate burial records, including internment records and burial maps Administrative duties: Preparing and administering budgets, work orders, and records, and coordinating purchasing
Public relations: Maintaining positive relationships with visitors, funeral directors, and families Training: Training, scheduling, and equipping seasonal staff Security: Locking doors and operating the security system Safety: Testing emergency lights and exit signs, and maintaining first aid kits Logistics: Coordinating logistics for events and services, such as chairs, tables, lighting, and audio Emergency response: Responding to emergencies during bad weather
